Day 11 - Calgary to Banff

In the morning I had a quick swim in the indoor pool and afterward my break fast. Then we packed our stuff in the car and started to move to Banff National Park. After a coffee stop in Canmore we finally reached the Rocky Mountains range with it’s breath taking views. First we had a refreshing swim in a very cold lake. As soon our cloths were dry dad drove us to Johnston lake, where we ran for more than 2 km and went also into the water. En route to our next activity we saw a deer along side the highway. Next was a hike up the Johnston Canyon with 2 nice water falls and the famous ink pots, in total 5.8 km one way in the mountains. We did the way up and down in a time from 2 hours 20 minutes – a good training for the half dome and mount whitney. Exhausted we got into the car and drove to our hotel. We check in, and after a refreshing shower, dad and I went to the best steak house in the city an enjoyed our steaks.
